    Starting issue

If I let the boat sit for a little while after running it a bit (say 3 skiers, 6 passes each) when I go to restart it it starts up and then immediately idles down real low and almost dies but stays on and then idles rough for a few seconds and returns to normal idle speed. Otherwise the boat starts and runs great. What could be causing this?

Vapor lock probably... or almost vapor lock. The fuel in the line next to the hot engine is vaporizing. As soon as all the vapors get out of the line it runs fine.

I said this a few threads ago, but my boat was doing it so I went and got some fuel injection hose, slit it down one side, and it it over my metal fuel line. You might also consider getting some wood blocks or something and cracking your engine compartment open when you shut down on the water.
