    keypad start problems

Hey everyone, I am new here but I need some help. I have a 00 super air nautique and the start buttton on the keypad has gone out. Has anyone had or repaired this problem? This will be the second unit I have purchased for the boat, and the new one is 700 bucks ouch!

    RE: keypad start problems

they go bad all the time so save your money. i have changed 3 different customers of mine over to keys they too got tired of buying key pads. its a simple job will take you less than an hour. so unless your rich and just cant live without your keypad get a key switch.because nextime it goes out it will be $850. and it will go out again its only a matter of time trust me.they are cool when they work but they are a pain in the butt when they dont and they dont alot as you well know. just my 2cents. good luck

boatech, how hard is the change-over from a keypad to a keyed system? instructions? plug n play or rewire? i've replaced my keypad once and don't want to spend the money again. key=simple.
