    Glovebox Hinge

Can someone tell me if the small hinge on the dashboard cooler/glovebox is suppose to hold the lid open? I think mine needs replacing because as soon as you let go of the lid slams down.

Does anyone know where to get these?

    Thanks,

    Dave

    RE: Glovebox Hinge

Are you talking about the hinge or the gas strut that holds the lid open? You can find the gas strut at white lake marine http://www.whitelake.com/catalog/cc_...2_products.htm

It takes about two minutes to replace.

Bad link on the first one, here's a link that should work; http://www.shopwhitelake.com/glboxgassh.html

Be sure to use the PN discount, "PND" in the coupon code box right after you add it to the cart.

I bought mine at the local Correct Craft dealer and they always have them in stock. I guess they go out periodically. Cost was about $16 (California Correct Craft give a 10% discount for PN members). FYI. I just read my old, worn out gas-filled strut and made sure it had the same or better psi rating to make sure it would hold it up. Easy replacement with two small C-Rings.
