Help changing steering cable on 99 Pro Air

I have a 99 Pro Air Nautique that needs a new steering cable. After digging into it last night anyone have any tips on how to remove the hoses from the gas tank and ballast tanks without breaking them. I have already broken one hose... Also, any other tips.

    Thanks!!!!

RE: Help changing steering cable on 99 Pro Air

I just did some similar work on my 99 Sport and the hoses for the ballast tanks broke off as well, what I would think you could do is apply some heat (not a torch) to the hoses. Maybe heat packs or hot wash cloths since they are just plastic, and try to coax them off. The fuel hoses are rubber and you should be able to twist them until they break free. Put every nut, bolt, screw from each component in seperate bags...it will make install a lot easier.

      remove tank fuel hose

I belive it's realy hard to remove the fuel hose from the tank,I had pull the tank for clean the botton, after I do my best effort and failed, I cut an openning 1-1.5'' ,and with a minus driver, I remove it,by this way ,take care the fuel hose has enough length.
