    Perfect Pass not working???

Hey, Please leave comment if you have any information! Thanks!

The perfect pass on my SANTE 03 is not working the gauges and everything work fine and say its on... but it's almost like its not connected to the engine because it won't kick on to maintain the speed...

Please provide feedback of what I might can do to fix this!

    Thanks!!!

    RE: Perfect Pass not working???

Look at the servo motor and make sure the two wire plugs are plugged in to the wires running back to the master module. If these are unplugged, the perfect pass will seem like it is on and working but the servo motor will not actually do anything to control the speed.

I have this same problem. My PP beeps like it wants to take over speed control but it doesn't. just started this weekend. Any other ideas? The 2 connectors going to the servo are hooked up.

Your stepper motor might be bad. When we bought our used 03, that was what was wrong. If you take the motor out and it is seized, then it is probably toast. You can probably test it by taking off the knob on the top, and then turning the boat on (don't start it). It should make noise and center itself. If it looks like it's trying to turn but doesn't, then it is probably bad.

I was able to get the armature part out of the motor casing, but it was split in half. I actually tried to glue the two pieces back together, but the spacing was slightly off and it didn't work very well.

The best place is to call perfect pass. I think when I called it was a little over 100 bucks for the motor, including the cable.

Don't remove the old one before the new one comes in if you want to go out on the boat. It actually holds tension on the throttle cable and the engine won't rev if it is disconnected.
