I have a 2000 SAN with the hatch lift that is controlled via up and down controls on the dash. I had my boat out yesterday and everything worked great. I had the boat loaded down with 2000 lbs. of ballast and a few times the wake rolled over the back transom and some water went onto the back seats when I was trying to get some begineers up. Everything still worked great when I ventured to the party coves for some drinks. When I got the boat home last night, I went to clean out the vest, handles, etc. and the hatch lift was not working. It makes a clicking noise at the ciruit breaker underneath the dash but the lift does not engage or raise up. I eventually pulled the rear seat out and got my stuff out so I made sure nothing molded in the lockers with all of the wet jackets in there.
Does anyone know what may be wrong? Did I possibly blow a fuse on the hydrolic lift or something. I checked the circuit breaker and it was not popped. I am concerned since the lift provides my only access into the lockers and engine compartment. Has anyone removed this hydrolic lift and just used the manual approach with the aid of some of the new non powered arms found on newer boats. Has anyone swapped out the single hatch and replaced it with a 3 part hatch found on the newer SANs. If anyone knows how to help me trouble shoot this problem than that is great or if you have any ideas or have swapped out your hatch then that information would be useful as well. Thanks for any help that you may be able to provide.
