98 SN GT40 Engine Stalls Out

Several times over the last weekend the engine would run for 10-40 seconds and then totally stall out. Restarts easily then quits again at 3k or 4 k rpm. Then restarts easily. Next morning ran fine for 20 minutes? I changed the fuel/h20 separator 1 month ago. Could I have put in in wrong. Seems more like electric prob to me? Should I cange distributor cap? or ???

before doing anything more, check the fuse coming off your battery to the ECU. It is the small one with an automotive style fuse, 40 or 50 amp. This connection can be bad even when the fuse is good. Nautique will alos recommend you check this. I wired my ECU to pull from the 60 amp breaker right at the rear of the engine. No troubles since.

should be coming right off the battery in a small enclosed rubber case.

Is it OK to take this fuse out and hardwire it direct?
