Please dont laugh at this question......

Im new to Nautique ownership and took our boat out yesterday and everything went AWESOME! Now im cleaning and pampering my boat and want to get that little bit of water the bilge did'nt get but I cant find my drain plug. I know I sound completley retarded but could someone tell me,
WHERE TO LOCATE THE PLUG ON MY BOAT? Ive looked everywhere and dont have an owners manual.

Oh yeah and dont laugh so hard at this that you fall out of you chair and hurt yourself

Lift your engine box. The plug will be in the center of the boat, tucked under your pulleys toward the front of the engine. It should be brass, with a t-handle. Sometimes, they don't want to come out by hand and you need a crescent wrench to break it lose. It's funny, but not that bad. Lot's of people who are used to outboard and I/Os look for a plug at the back of the boat.

Don't feel bad- I didn't know where it was until I owned my first inboard!

Just don't forget to put it back! Unlike an i/o, going fast with the plug out won't make the water drain!!! It only makes the water in the bilge problem angry!

No such thing as a dumb question. At least you aren't asking why is water flowing into my boat at 700 gallons per minute. As bkhallpass says it is located under the front of the engine. It is easier to see if you lift both the sections of your engine cover. If you feel around down there it may be a T-handle or just a plug. Here is a link to SKIDIM with a picture. Mine is actually a round bar handle on top. Notice the place for the wrench on the bottom near the threads. http://www.skidim.com/products.asp?dept=1004 Welcome, and keep those questions coming.

And I believe there is only one plug in that style of boat. However, there are two in the newer versions.

Imagine my surprise when I put the plug in my new/used 99 Sport (under the motor). And discovered that there is also a transom plug (not put in). By the way, it's very tough to trailer a 99 Sport when the water is rising out of the ski locker and motor cavity.....yikes....

              ROFL, that's funny.

I also know from personal experience that most bilge pumps will lose the flow battle against water coming in the drain hole....

Solenoid? Is that the black and silver thingy with the 2 big *** red wires and one small red wire coming out of it that throws me off the boat when i lick my fingers and touch it. Yellow_Flash_Colorz:
