    Exhaust?

Compared to the older ski boats on the water, my 2000 SN is very quiet. Is there anything I can do to the exhaust to make it a little more throaty without extensive modifications? Thanks!

    RE: Exhaust?

run a straight exhaust (no muffler), replace stock muffler with a more "free flowing" muffler, or add a marine glasspack

How hard would it be to replace the muffler, and where can I find one?

As opposed to paying $250/each for new marine glass packs for my boats, I went to a chemical supply plumbing store and bought scheduel 80 PVC pipe... works great!

I considered removing the muffler and running a single exhaust system. You would need 2 reducers (either 3"-->4" or 3.5"-->4" depending on the size of your exhaust manifold outlets), a section of flexible exhaust hose and a 4" Y fitting.

If youre not looking for a huge project, dont go the route I did.

That could be feasible. Thanks for the help. I'll have to get out to the lake and stick my head in the engine compartent for a few hours to see what all I'll need to do.
