Carpet Mat to Protect Factory Carpeting

Our regional Nautique distributor sells a two piece rubber backed carpet mat that will protect the factory installed carpeting. Says it is designed for a 2003 196 but will fit the 2002. Price is $280. They after market. Distributor always marks thgings way up. Anyone know where these are made or where they can be bought at lower price?

I made my own.

Purchased carpet from here http://a1foamandfabrics.com/site/index.cfm and then cut to size. Brought it to my local upolstery shop to have it bound and did the whole thing for like $100. It's not rubber backed but, it's thicker than the aftermarket CC carpet.

Has anyone purchased ready made carpet runners for a 196? If so, how much of the factory carpet do they cover? How about quality?
