Non OX Fuel or 87 octane oxiginated???

    Hello,
I am new to this forum. Just found it today. Lots of good info and plan on spen ding more time here.
I have a 84 SN 2001 with 660 hours onit. I have owned it for 5 years and mostly run 91 octane Non oxiginated fuel. I see on the valve covers it states to not run unleaded luel. :???:
Since that is all they sell here in Minnesota what is my best option? Do I have to buy lead substitutes and add them or ??? :?: :?:

I like to stay away from the 87 and 89 octane here due to the ethenal added to it. :x

Another question about seats. Does anyone make new seat frames for these older boats. Either in wood or plastic, or are there patterns available to rebuild them???
    Thanks for your help.

Nice to seen another member from MN! I'm not sure on your questions about fuel or the seats. You could also try corectcraftfan.com also. There is a lot of info there about rebuilding older boats. If I remember right our neighbors always ran unleaded through their '78 Tique and it's still running.

Where to you get your 91 non oxy gas? The only non oxy I can find is 92.

 Well after a few more searches I came up with my answer in this forum from a 2004 post about spark plug size on the PCM motor will determine if I should add Lead. . Great site. Yellow_Flash_Colorz:

So, at this point only my seat question still needs an answer.

        Air Jeff,
Maybe I misquoted the octane. Seems to me I have seen both around the area. I dont worry too much about the octane if I can just find the NONOX. I run nothing else in my outboard and sleds. Only one place to get it where I live. Several stations quit selling it.
