    2007 Ski Nautique 196 - blower problem

I just recently purchased new Ski Nautique 196 (Signature) and noticed that there is virtualy no air outflow from blower stern grill. Vent is functioning properly. Dealer's technician did not have experience with Nautique (?) and said that this is, probably, construction issue for this type of boat. I had before Mastercraft and air outflow from blower stern grill was very strong. So, I tend to think that this is boat's defect. I appreciate advice from 196 owners. How strong air outflow from grill should be? Is it noticable or very weak?

They have certainly become much quieter (from a 96-2006)

Is it enough to fog a portion of your windshield?

I'd say ours is only slightly noticeable.

Blower issue is not a "design problem."

This is definitely not a "design problem." You, or a certified mechanic, need to start at the blower motor itself, and make sure the hose is securely connected to the blower unit. If it is, then you need to check all the hose for holes. This stuff tears pretty easily once a tear has started, and if there is a sizable hole, you won't get proper air-flow. When you get to the ends where the vents are located, again make sure the hoses are properly connected. I have had the hoses pull away from the vents, and all the air was flowing inside the boat.
