01-02 perfect pass question

Just wondering where some of you might have connected your + lead from your pp. My reason is I have a 01 pro air and the pp + and - were connected to the volt meter gage so when the pp would turn on it would drop my volt gauge down below 10 volts. I would like to know where I should connect the + lead and still have a keyed source. What color wire ect.

Purple wires are ignition controlled wires, i.e. a keyed source.

Try and get the power from the start of the purple wire daisy chain.

Same for the Ground.

The + was connected to the purple wires at the volt meter gauge, I was thinking if the purple wire is running all the gauges then I should connect it to a different source and solve my voltage drop problem. I do have a 100a alt and two batts. and no loose connections so my problem is under the dash.
