    Seat Cleanning

Just purchased an 06 SV211. The dealer would like me to use some fancy cleaner that sells for 15.00/bottle. He said most cleaners have bleach in them, and that can ruin your cushions.

What do you guys suggest for a protectant....Cleaner???

I use a very weak solution of Dawn dish washing liquid in water. Several drops in an empty spray bottle, and fill the bottle with water. You end up with a bottle half full of foam, but that is OK. Use a soft nylon brush, and gently scrub the upholstery. An old toothbrush, or soft detail brush will work dirt out of the stitching.
With a new boat, if you can. put towels down on the seats first. It goes a long way in keeping suntan oil off your seats. The suntan oil is not really good for them.

      For protectant, use 303.

Vinyl can be damaged by alot of different cleaners/chemicals. As an example Formla 409 will destroy your vinyl in one season. I use 303 cleaner and protectant. It isn't much cheaper. I also use Mr Cleaner Magic Erasers they are chemical free. Do a search on the forum and you'll find about 6 threads with about 200 responses. Congrats on the new boat, and welcome to the forum.
