    check engine light

I was surfing this weekend in my '02 Air Nautique & unfortunately I got a lot of water in the engine compartment & things got a little wet. My check engine light is now on and the throttle would back off from 10mph to idle speed every once in awhile. Any ideas what is going on? My temp & oil pressure is fine.

I'm also having problems with my stereo. I have the clarion remote on the transom above the platform. That side of the boat was weighted down so the remote was under water and now the stereo randomly lowers the volume down to 0.

Does anyone ever cover the vents on the back of the boat when surfing to prevent water from entering?

My guess is that your Knock sensor and remote got and are still wet. Try drying them with a hair dryer. Check club mike's posts on surfing.

i just checked the tranny fluid and there is water in it! I was also told by a mechanic that a sensor may be bad.

Does anyone know where all of the sensors are located? I checked the manual and found nothing.

Is the vdrive the same as a direct drive?

My clarion remote works just fine now.

No, you do not have a v-drive in your boat....two totally different set-ups.

I know that I don't have a vdrive in my boat. I meant is the sensor in the same location in respect to a direct drive. Sorry if there was confusion.

Anyone with suggestions? Once the boat gets to 2900rpm it throttles back to idle. I have pulled off every sensor I could find but that did not fix the problem.

Is the connection to a computer the same for automotive and marine?
