    Which mooring cover?

Am shopping for a new mooring cover for a 1990 Ski Nautique. Prefer a custom or semi-custom design that covers both the boat and the platform. Ordered one from Overton's a couple of years ago, but it didn't fit properly.

    Thanks for any recommendations.

    RE: Which mooring cover?

Rankin makes a very nice cover. Ill shoot some pics this weekend. The base cover doesnt cover the transom or the platform, but I had the sunskirts added that do.

Find a local canvas shop and have them make you a custom cover. That's what I did.

I have a Rankin and can't say enough good thing about it. Would work great on the trailer or in the water.

Also withstood 85 mph down the highway..

The only thing that would make it better would be re-enforced back corners. May have to send it back to Pat to have him beef up.

            RE: Rankin cover

Looks like their website is down... strange.

            Contact info:
            sales@rankincovers.com
            Office Phone: (425) 483-9266 (7am - 4pm Pacific Standard Time)
            Fax Number: (360) 668-2788

I towed with my Rankin from Connecticut to Wisconsin and back this summer. Its also working well as my mooring cover- the skirts protect all my gelcoat as well as my platform.

I just called Rankin Covers and got a recorded message. Sent them an email and it was returned undeliverable.:

Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently:

              Are they still in business?

I just got off the phone with Pat. He just got into the office, so you can try calling again. He was unaware that his website was down (which is probably affecting his email as well), so he's working on it!

I just checked there website again and its back up and online. Going to be making an order shortly! Is there anything extra that I should be asking for or anyone specific I should talk too?

                    How about another group buy?

I spoke with Rankin this morning and was quoted a price of $800 for a cover for my 1990 Ski Nautique.

I'd be willing to wait a couple of months for the off season to save 33%.

                    Anybody else?

Call Cory from Coversports and tell him you got a Nautique. He will refer you to Brent (Brent and Cory used to work at Rankin together) who only makes Nautique covers. Just got one and its sweeeeeeet!

I'd be in on another Rankin group buy, my canvas seems to rip now if I look at it wrong. I emailed Tim about his previous 2 GBs and would probably be willing to organize another if there is enough interest.
