    pcm 351 swap for gt-40

I'm swapping a 1989 pcm 351 for a (roughly)2002 GT-40. I am told you need a kit for the fuel return line on the GT-40 - there's only one fuel line on the '89, for fuel coming from the tank to the pump - and the GT-40 has a return line going to the tank. Do I need the kit to make this work? Is there any danger in simply terminating this line? Or would that cause problems? Or is there some easy way to adapt this, or fudge it in some way?

Any other advice is welcome on this swap... this is the only major hitch my local dealer seemed to think I'd run into.
How 'bout a little reverse action...

You need to run a marine fuel line back to the tank. Whats included in the kit?
ICBW, but you'll need hose and brass elbow into the tank.
Do you have a 1.23 pcm trans?

Yeah, I have a 1.23 RH on the boat now, I think the motor is RH also? haha that might be a showstopper, if it's not. But the 1.23 should be a good match for the motor, I think. Any opinions?
I think (and hope) the fuel line is as simple as that - I was going to run a fuel line back to the tank and tee it into the existing vent line, right by the tank, or into another fitting if possible.
Don't know what's normally included in the kit...

I can't think of what would make it a "kit" besides some fuel line and a few adapters/connectors. Go take a look at any current boat with a GT40 and write down what you see. You can easily remove the tank and have a bung welded in.

I'm pretty sure that trans reverses the rotation of the engine no matter which way, full power both directions. That original 89 351 and the GT40 should both be regular rotation/LH allowing you to swing a RH prop.
