When running for 1st 10-15 mins., no skier in tow, up to 40mph (< 4,000rpm's), the engine runs fine. Afterwards, or pulling a skier or speed 40+mph, the boat hesitates and surges.
While watching the digital rpms (from PP gauge) they stayed around 4200, but the analog would show sudden drops and then return. I changed the fuel filter and the plugs looked fine. Any thoughts on what might be causing this? what else to look for?
