2006 210 Nautique - port ballast tank problems

My port ballast tank seemed to stop working today, it is making a low humming noise when you turn it on, which sounds like the motor is turning on but just not the normal sound and of course its not filling or draining any water. I didn't know if there would be a cause for this pump to just stop working. And wondering where the pump is actually located and if there is someway to try and get to it so i can wiggle some wires or a fuse box that i can trip.

Ihave a 06 team211 same problem with belly tank not sure where 210 port pump would be as a guess it would be under the back locker port side once found undo 2 screws on bottom of pump drop the cover off,this is where the impeller is spin it around a few times to free it up then put back together thats what i have done solved problem

remove tank replace pump happens all the time. just be glad it did crack and fill your boat with water this happens alot to. put it will take you a half hour or so to replace the pump.

Boardnman, just do as Mark56 said, but first check if the fuse isn't popped out. Otherwise; at the port locker there would be a plate at the side of the rear bench. Remove that one (perhaps it's locked with 1-2 bolts), and you'll see the pump attached to the bench. Remove the 3 screws (flat screwdriver) from the bottom of the pump and remove the impeller (black rubber thing). Turn on the pump in forward and reverse a couple of time for seing the correct behaviour of the pump. Install the impeller again and assemble the pump again. 99% change it will work again.
It's a 5 min job and it's pretty common that the pump gets stuck. One thing to prevent this behaviour. When emptying the tanks, turn the pump on filling for a second afterwards. This way the impeller is already in a good possition for filling the tanks a week (or so) later and the pump wouldn't need to work that hard initially.
