A few small issues with my 07 210

I noticed this weekend the shifter for my hydrogate plate was very loose. It's not the top knob but the whole shaft. I tried to turn it back tight with no luck. Anyone have this problem or know how to tight it back up?

I've also lost the silver rings that are around the transom lights and one interior light. I guess due to vibration. I've put a request in to my dealer for some new ones and plan on reattaching them with an adhesive. If anyone has a better idea for these I'm all ears.

In my opinion, the Hydrogate doesnt do anything for surfing or boarding so to me its useless. Just my opinion.

      I'm at 46 hours on my 07 210.

My light rings have fallen off several times as well. I just keep putting them back on. They fall down into the seam on the floor and are difficult to get out. It's a little frustrating. This weekend I used some pliers to bend the tabs out a little bit. This let me get them secured a little better. Glad the rings on the swim platform haven't fallen off. They would be gone for good.

      My hydrogate isn't loose (yet).

I did have to tighten up my tower on both of the front mounts. They were obviously not tightened at the factory or at the dealership (not sure who is supposed to tighten them). The lock nut has nylon in it and it is quite difficult to turn. I'm certain that it didn't back off from vibration. The tower would make a terrible racket when I would hit a roller while on plane.

Two of the pins on my swim platform have fallen off and are gone. Luckily the center pin seems to be holding on. I'm waiting for replacements from my dealer.

The screws that hold the gas shock on the starboard side trunk have pulled out of the bottom of the trunk lid. This was probably from someone who didn't know what they were doing and they opened the lid too far...

I love the boat! It's an amazing machine! I can deal with these kinds of issues because I know overall it's top notch!

I thought that CC put out a service bulletin for all '06 and newer towers to have them double bolted...Did you get an early '07, because after my '06 boat's tower came loose I was told that all new boats would be double bolted.

It has two nuts, but they were both low on the bolt that comes through the hull. I had to first break them apart from each other, then work the first one up so the tower was tight, then tighten down the second one. The second one seems to have a vinyl threading so that it won't work loose from vibration. I had to pull the starboard side bow seatback to get the starboard side done. The port side can be accessed from the dry storage area beneath the glovebox, but it's a pain in the neck to get to!

How difficult is it to pull the seats out? I would like to check my tower mounts as well.

It isn't too difficult. There are plastic "christmas trees" in the back of the seat that go into holes in the fiberglass. There should be two on right side and two on the left. Once you get these pulled out of the holes just lift up on the entire seat back and it will come out. You might want to use something to help you pull the christmas trees. You don't want them to come out of the back of the seat instead of out of the fiberglass (that is what they would rather do). You need a tool that can get behind them but won't mar the gelcoat. Not sure what to recommend because I found this out the hard way. I didn't use a tool and my christmas trees were stuck in the fiberglass. I had to pull each one and insert them back into the seatback.

Be sure to tighten the allen head screw which is up on the tower itself on the leading edge of the tower pole. If this isn't tight the bolt will spin when you try to tighten the nuts...

Once you get the seatback off you will have easy access to the tower mount nuts.

I was able to pull up on my tower on both sides and feel the movement (and hear the sound I would hear on the water). You might try this before tearing into the seat.

My boat is a 2001 SAN, but I've been able to tighten the tower bolts by removing the cupholder. Tight fit, but I could get my hand and a wrench in there. Don't know if this applies to newer models. BKH

Yeah, they must have moved the cup holders because they are now down below the speaker up in the bow. I tried to reach up from the starboard side storage area beneath the seat, but my arm isn't long enough to even touch the mounting hardware. Once I took the seatback off (the only logical place left that they could have made an access hole) I found a large perfect hole right in front of the mounting hardware. It was easy to tighten then!
