Ok, not a motorhead, but very mechanical, so...... Boat would not start last night, battery too dead. A friend was sitting at the tavern by the boat landing, quick call, he has a 1994 SNCB with dual batteries, nice guy, pulle one out , make the switch, starts right up. Everything is AOK right? This was at 7PM, we ski for an hour and a half on glass calm water, great time, very sore today

Saw soem friends on their dock so we idle over and chat for 15 minutes, engine at idle, comparing the '91 with their '92. head back to the boat landing and the volt light comes on, look at the gauge, between 11-12. So this is a little concerning. Nothing else running but the engine and then the lights after the "talk". Does this sound like an alternator thing? BAd connection somewhere? I am going to replace that battery (car and truck cheapo that was in it) with a nice gel cell marine battery, but what else? I plan on taking the alternator out and get that checked, so I might as well replace the belts right away, just want some opinions. Am I looking at the right things first?
