    Hard starting GT-40

My '95 SN w/ GT-40 has been starting very hard lately. It turns over dozens of times before it catches and starts. Most of the time I crank on it for 5 seconds or more, pause, then crank for another 5 seconds before it fires. Once running, its fine, runs great. This year I've replaced the spark plugs, new fuel filter, and a new low pressure fuel pump. All this was done at the start of the year, this starting issue just surfaced a couple weeks ago.
Anyone have any ideas what could be causing this?
    Thanks,
    \'95 SN Signature Ed.

could be a small leak in the fuel line which would allow the fuel to fall back towards the tank when the engine isn't running.
