    Tower Speaker Wiring

I am lucky enough to have an awesome girlfriend, who bought me Wetsounds Pro 80's for my birthday. Now, I need to figure out how to run the wires. Does anyone have any suggestions? Should I go out and buy electrician's fish tape?

    RE: Tower Speaker Wiring

Used 12ga solid wire as a fish line and a needle nose to catch it at the other end opening, ran one fish from R to L speaker hole then another from L down left side to exit hole at top portion of tower and a third from tower leg up to lower leg exit hole. Drilled 1/2" holes to start then a tapered bit to clean up the hole. Used 12ga speaker wire, finished hole with grommets and wires with braided loom both from cableorganizer, speakers used the Nuetric connectors. I think more time was spent figuring out where and what to get for the installation then the installation itself. May be a better way to do it however this worked for me.

    Good luck with your install!!

I think the easiest way to pull wires is the string and vacuum method. I was able to get the pull strings ran for 5 separate runs in about 20 minutes.

Did you put anything on the end of the string to give it more area?

cut about a 4 inch square out of a grocery store type plastic bag - thin plastic - zip lock bags are a little too thick - tie the string around the bag as if you are making a small candy pouch stick the bag in the hole and vacuum the other end of tower - should suck right through

I was able to make it work by just tying a knot at the end of the string. You could probably fold up a piece of tape. The key is something that is pretty light. I just used a knot. Once I got to the third pull on one of the sides, a piece of tape or something would get tangled in the already pulled strings.
