I was just reading through the instructions on this in hull Faria depth guage with the mineral oil deal. It all makes perfect sense and what not. I was talking to my dealer (very reputable) and he was telling me when he does them he does not use the oil flange rather just glues the transducer down to the hull where the old one used to sit. He says they work exactly the same. What do you think ? Mineral oil or direct epoxy deal ? Ideas ?
