    red hoses not connected

I have a 2004 210 with the zr6 and I was looking around the engine and found 2 red hoses not connected. They appear to be around 1/2 id hoses and are right under what I believe is the thermostat. Right above them I found were they might plug in but there is a u shape hose that doubles back into the believed thermostat. I have the heater option however it does not really blow out hot air so I was wondering if this could be the problem or is that for the optional shower. I can try to get some pics if it would help.
    Thanks

Sounds like your heater hoses are not hooked up.

Get a pic up for sure, but it does sound like a bypassed heater line

I'll go with heater hoses disconnected after a winterization as well. I thought I heard that there was no (factory) shower option on the ZR6?, so that's gotta be for the heater.

I concur with other posters that the previous owner disconnected the heater hoses. I did this on my 02 210 after I had the replace the heater core after two years. I rarely used the heater anyway so I ended up looping the heater connection and saving me from having to replace the heater core every few years.

Most likely heater hoses - I helped a neighbor remove bad heater and that is similar description - South East Correct Craft said those heaters tend to go out every two to three years - no need to replace that option living in Florida

I wasn't able to get a pic today but if it is the heater hose and I get a new heater core how much coolant do y'all think I will have to add.
              Thanks

None it uses the water you're sucking up out of the lake after it's gone through the block. What makes you think you need a new heater core?

I'm not sure Hollywood, but I thought the ZR6 has standard a closed cooling system and the heater core was connected to the closed cooling system. You'll need to add some coolant when installing a heater core.
But like Hollywood asked, why do you nee a new core?

I bet SuperAir hit it on the head, the previous owner probably had a leak in the core and just bypassed it instead of replacing it, especially if there is a bypass loop on it now.
