    RE: Loose 236 Tower

My dealer (still in business) is claiming that they are having a difficult time getting the clamps for the bimini from the bimini company (also still in business). I guess they are looking for another bimini supplier as well.

I checked yesterday and my tower is getting loose again. I guess I'll slap some loctite in there...

      RE: Loose 236 Tower

I ended up taking off the front seat, set screw and losened both nuts on the bolt. I put the bolt up on the tower and made sure the flat spot on the bolt was linded up correctly for the set screw. I tighten the set screw down then tightened the top nut then tighten the jam nut. It lasted all weekend but will have to have more boat time to see if it works loos again.

I actually bought some "blue" loctite but started on the job and forgot to even use it.

        RE: Loose 236 Tower

C-Money's boat looks MONEY!!!! Met him out at the lake today...when people say they are from "Kansas City" that can be a lot of places, but we live really close to one another. Super cool guy and his boat looks pimp. I even called him out for being on PN...we got a good laugh about it.

I can echo his problems with a certain dealer (which I won't name cause I don't slander people) and C-Money is right...this dealer is 3 hrs from KC at a very big lake, not in Kansas, that likes to have big parties, in one specific cove on the lake...if you can't figure it out from that, well...nevermind then. We bought our boat from the same dealer and had nothing but problems. Right after we got our boat a super legit dealer opened up here in KC and we've been taken care of ever since. I got C-Money hooked up with the dealer here in the KC area - www.justridesports.com - and I know he can get the tower issue resolved. I wish he could get your Bimini for you...that sucks you've been waiting that long for it.

I never even mentioned it today C-Money, but it wouldn't surprise me if the dealer you got your boat from improperly installed the tower or forgot parts or something of that sort. Sorry you are having to deal with that...not the quality you would expect from a CC...but nothing you can do if it was dealer error.

Let's get together and ride sometime fo sho!!!

I have a 2007 236, and the front driver side tower mount is loose - how do you access it? I'm assuming via the bow cushions - if so how do you remove them? Thanks.
