i was just curious why both the excaliber and zr6 motor require 15w40. is that diesel oil??

Not really, but I use Rotella diesel oil in my Excalibur. Good stuff and otherwise 15w40 is difficult to find.

Valvoline makes a 15w-40 All-Fleet Plus that comes in quarts that is designed for gas and/or diesel. They can get it at your Napa auto store

Pennzoil marine makes 15w-40 you can get it at West Marine and Wal-Mart in the marine area.... Thats what SECC uses....
