    Fuel Issues

Have a '99 Nautique Open Bow with the Python and have been having fuel issues all summer. After hearing about ethanol fuel separation, drained tank after winter and changed fuel filter. Boat ran well for a few weeks, now having the same issue, this time I have half a tank of gas, and changed the fuel filter and when I drained the canister, saw that the new fuel is separated. Are there filters out there that will fit that aren't paper? The paper element is not allowing the gas through when water is also there. HELP, PLEASE.

    RE: Fuel Issues

I would look into a diesel fuel/water separator. These units are much more efficient in removing water then the standard separator and some do not use paper elements. Here are a couple of links https://www.controlmastersinc.com/ul..._separator.htm

Where do you get your fuel? I would consider another source.

I second DanielC, there is some other problem. Assuming you used the direct replacement from CC the last time. I have never had this issue on any Nautiques I have owned.
