    what does a 1990 ski nautique + trailer weigh?

    ......& while i'm at it, why are there 2 speedometers & why don't they always agree?

    The boat is about 2300 lbs dry, according to the brochure. Figure about 1000 lbs for a single axle trailer, maybe 1200 if you have a tandem. Add a few hundred lbs for fluids and gear and youre somewhere around 3500-3700 lbs.

    In case one speedo goes down (weed on the pitot), there is a back up. Each one is completely independant, so they wont necessarily read the same until you set them.

      You can clock yourself through the course (timing tables) or use a GPS to get your speed then adjust each speedo separately using the dial on the front. They should read pretty close after that until you get something clogged on the pickup pitot.

        I towed with a 96 chev blazer, not sure how much smaller you'd want to go. just make sure you have a class III receiver hitch as that should bring you up to 5000lbs towing capacity.
