    Scratched Windhield

    Hi all.

I was wondering if anyone knows of a procedure to buff out a slight scratch on the inside of my widshield.

I was on the lake cleaning the glass & my watch scratched the windhield just in front of the dash.

The scratch does not appear to be deep. It almost looks like I marked it with a white wax pencil.

Does anyone know of a way of cleaning this up.

    Thanks in advance!

Ask a good auto glass shop, but not one of the ones that advertise 27 free dinners at a local restaurant if you change your windshield, and will bill your insurance company on your behalf.

Try the catalog auto parts distributor JC Whitney. They had a glass polishing kit that I had used to restore my car windshield which worked pretty good. It contains buffing compound and a polishing wheel wheel drill attachment. Eastwood Automotive Tools and Supplies also sells various fine polishes and buffing wheels that will work.
