To any PCM engine expert,
Had to take the top end down to replace head gaskets. Reassembled distributor with rough alignment based on exterior marks we made during disassembly.
Engine is running with slight shutter at low speed/idle, but is backfiring through carb when at or above 4k RPM’s. Can't seem to find specifics on timing the engine with the Protec ignition system. I understand with conventional distributor, # 1 cyl. at TDC with rotor to rear when distributor is fully seated is where you start to time it.
Can someone confirm this is the same for Protec ignition? Or provide timing details for Protec setups?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
