Hey all, I'm new to the group but I have owned my SN for about 7 years. over the years the interior has gone downhill. Does anyone know if skins are still available for a 1991 SN? If anyone has re-done theirs I'm interested in how much it was. Thanks!

An entire new interior will be about $3,500. Plenty of people have done that too. As long as they use quality materials, there shouldn't be any issues. The only thing is that local shops usually cannot legally sell anything with the Nautique logo on it for copyright reasons.I own and operate Silver Cove Marine, which is an inboard boat restoration, service, and sales facility located in Mooresville, North Carolina. I had mine done earlier this year for a little over $2,000
The guy did an amazing job and used nice vinyl and materials...all marine grade. Here is the link to the post:

He also stitched-in the Nautique logo for me on the back bench seat.

My new skins are due to arrive from Christines today. The entire interior for my '99 Nautique Super Sport (including bow filler cushion, extra bits of foam and special order vinyl) was $3120 shipped.
Now, comes the fun part: removing the interior and putting on the new skins. I will be doing it myself piece by piece. I will post tomorrow with my observations on quality...I expect it to be superb.

David,
You will not be disappointed. That is who I used for some of my replacement skins and they were perfectly matched.2001 Super Air Nautique

Skins just arrived! The workmanship seems top notch and the CC logos are perfect. I worked closely (took several months) with George at Christine;s to find the correct vinyl. The problem was is that it seems my boat was originally ordered with a custom color scheme. Christine's nailed the colors on teh first try, but the vinyl texture did not match between the two colors. After many tries, we had to go with an alternate vinyl manufacturer to get matching texture, proper color, and acceptable thickness.
Christine's was very patient throughout the entire process and work well with me in ensuring we both felt we had made the best possibe choices.
Now, I have two huge boxes with dozens of skins that will be a ton of work to install...every single piece of vinyl gets replaced. Looking forward to it...sort of. I think I will start in the bow and work my way to the stern...piece by piece.

David, I just ordered a complete set of skins from Christine's last week for my 99 Air. I too will be installing everything myself. I already have the interior ripped out (except the observers seat, the driver's seat, and the motor box). Please post your progress and include any pearls of wisdom you learn in the process of installation. I am a bit intimidated by the process, but I think it is like most things, not nearly as hard as I think once you get going. I have to remind myself that fear is the mind killer.
Now I'm considering re-carpeting everything, so I have to start searching the forums for advice on that. Materials are cheap, but I've never done it before... so there goes that fear again. Now

Well, I started last night on the bow filler cushion that I never use (good practice piece). The skin fit great, but the amount of material pulled over the board and stapled is not the same as the original. So, my question going to Christine's this morning is how tight do you pull he material before stapling? I am afraid of overstretching.
The other thing I noticed is that there must have a hundred staples on just that one small cushion. Almost solid staples. Removing them all was the worst part. Luckily, my son helped out.

Hahahaha just wait till you get to the back seat and rear deck if you are tired of pulling staples. I think my boat has about a hundred pounds on it. They definately don't want the vinyl comming off unless you are reskinning it.2001 Super Air Nautique
