    I believe that the majority of the pieces of the impellar are on the dock where I left them after cleaning out the housing. There was a lot of it still in the houseing. I'll back flush it soon, as the season is winding down.

    On another related note, has anybody every put an inline filter to prevent pieces from going into the transmission cooler? Seems a simple enough thing to do....

      ouch typically the pp is factory installed 95% of the time while we use lock washers built into the nuts you should probably check your gauges and other items at least once a year as the boat does get beat up by the sports we play in.

        Trans cooler? I believe my trans cooler is before the raw water pump, not sure on the new boat but it was for sure on my older boat. Check the hoses. My failed impeller blades ended up in the thermostat cover on my old boat (until I replaced the leaking strainer that killed 3 impellers one summer).
