on the newer boats a metal U is glassed into the walkthru to stiffen it up so that the windshield does not move as bad .
check for service bulletins for your particular model.
My 99 Sport's windshield is fine on the trailer but too loose in the water.
I have tried loosening all the screws and pushing the windshields inward and tightening them again but I did it by myself. It did make it a little tighter but we still have the windshield fall through when hitting bigger waves on the lake.
I will have to try to tighten the windshields again but have someone help me with pushing them in.
It's very annoying and is a pain in the butt to pull the windshield back through when it falls in.
I would much rather it be a little too tight on the trailer and fit correctly on the water.
