I have an 05 Super Air and a Ramlin Trailer Tandem, does anyone have any problems when loading the boat that it goes too much to one side or the other? I loaded it recently and i guess i was too far on the left side of the trailer and it pushed my fender onto my wheels causing it to rub. I thought the guide rails prevented this crap from happening.

RE: Ramlin Trailer
Sounds like you're backing too deep into the water. The boat should auto-center if the trailer isn't too deep.I own and operate Silver Cove Marine, which is an inboard boat restoration, service, and sales facility located in Mooresville, North Carolina. We specializes in Nautiques and Correct Crafts, and also provide general service for Nautiques fifteen years old and older.
If we can be of service to you, please contact us anytime!

I agree - sounds like it's too deep, especially if I'm reading this correctly that the boat actually sat on top of the fender. As you stated, the guide posts should prevent the back from getting too far out of center.
My rule of thumb, dependant on the ramp steepness of course, is to back in just far enough that the front of the fenders are just barely under the surface of the water. This should be just deep enough for you to coast in at 2-3mph, glide to a stop and then throttle the remaining 2-3 inches to the bow stop.

It did not actually sit on top of the fender, sorry i should have clarified. The boat actually was just pushing against the fender to if you looked at it from behind the boat was up against the left (port) fender and the right had like 2-3 inches of space. I never thought to even check this. So if i put the fenders barely under it should guide in and then i power it up the rest?? I never powered them up before just drove straight onto it.
Thanks for the input.

Piperster,
Loosen the bolts on your guides and pull them in. Then go a loosen the bolts on the fenders and pull them out. Seems they ship with the fenders all the way in to limit damage. Look under the fenders and you will see the bolts. I had the same problem and called Ramlin...they were great and it worked. Have not had problem since.
