    No Hours Display

Question number 2. I just got my used Year 2000 SAN. The Teleflex Tach reads out okay, but the text line below shows "Eng Hours" then accross to the right, tenths only. No full hours. When I call up hours on my Perfect Pass it shows Hours as 212 which I believe is correct. What is the problem with the Tach?

I think you are suffering from the same problem everyone with a 2000 SAN suffers from. The standard Teleflex digital gauges wear out pretty quickly. It is common for individual segments on numbers anywhere on the display to quit working. Search this site and you'll find plenty of people (me included) with the same problem. There are several solutions. If you have PP, you can replace the Teleflex speedeo with a Faria gauge running off the PP paddle wheel. Again, there are several posts on this site about how to do this. Sounds like you have PP so that might be the easiest/best solution. If not, Teleflex recommends their Premier Pro as a replacement for the speedo and the tach (see attached). You can also use the Faria's, but if you don't already have a paddlewheel, you have to drill a hole in your hull for one.
