My 92 SN (PCM 1.23:1 w/240hp) is running perfect but I have my idle set at just over 1000 because any lower and the engine falls when putting it in gear and a nasty clunking sound is heard. Reminds me of the way it feels/sounds when you miss a shift in a car and get too high of a gear for the speed (ie; trying to start from a stop in 2nd gear instead of first)
I changed the trany fluid and check level often....all good here.
Almost seems like the engine just hasn't got enough torque below 900 rpm to git-er done. Although it sounds like it's running perfectly prior to putting it into gear and will throttle up and pulls skiers like a champ all day.
Any ideas would really be appreciated.
Also, any info (or books or manuals available) on how to replace/repair would be helpful.
Thanks
