How to Starter relay on 94 Sport Nautique

I went to install a new starter relay on my 94 and the old relay is sort of combined with the starter. The cable from the relay to the starter is an inch max. There really is no spot to mount this new relay. I'm thinking some type of L bracket, but the relay would still have to sit on on starter. Anyways its definitely not a bolt on replacement that I got from White Lake. Here's the relay I got from White Lake: http://www.shopwhitelake.com/starter...-solenoid.html

Anyone installed this relay or have any suggestions? Thanks.

It sounds like someone has replaced your starter with an automotive one. It isn't that hard to remove the starter and take it in to be rebuilt. I don't think the solenoid you bought will work because the starter with the solenoid on it doesn't use a centrifigal sp? gear but the solenoid pushes the gear to the flywheel. Also it isn't sheilded against sparks like a marine one would be. Sorry for the bad news.

The starter looks exactly like this one: http://skidim.com/prodinfo.asp?number=RK122014
The relay is combined with the starter.

mfo1, you are correct. The part you received is the solenoid (or relay) and normally bolts to a plate next to the 50 amp breaker and does not bolt onto the starter. Thats a differen.one that bolts to the starter. Are you replacing the starter or just the relay?

I'm just looking for the relay. I'm having cold start problems. It seems to take 2 to 3 cranks when the engine is cold. One suggestion on here was the relay. I should have called skidim, but I ordered this one from White Lake.
