    Bilge pump stuck on

The bilge pump, on my 92sn, is stuck on whenever i switch the autobilge on.
The bottom of the boat is bone dry.
Could the bilge pump switch be broken, or should i be checking anything esle?
    Thanks for any advise.

    RE: Bilge pump stuck on

Does your bilge pump use a floating switch or not? My 1997 Ski had this problem, but my pump "senses" when it is moving water, it slows down, and stays on until the water is gone, and then the pump speeds up, and then it turns off. My pump impeller and housing had a bunch of bilge gunk on it, and that slowed the pump down, so the pump thought it was moving water. I cleaned the impeller, and housing, and my pump has been working perfectly since. I do not know when this type of auto sensing pump became standard. If you have a float switch, it might need to be cleaned, so it can fall all the way.

The bilge pump switch is a Sensatron Water witch model 127, it is a sealed unit and appears to have no moving parts.

I had the same problem, or so I thought. It is actually a initial reaction to getting power to the sensors. They will run the pumps for about 20 seconds and then shut off. How long did you let them run for? I bet they shut offafter that time. Try thoat out and get back to me.
