    Oil Pressure warnings

I recently purchased a 2006 Air 216 TE and am having some problems with low oil pressure displaying on both the analog and digital gauges as well as warning lights and beeping.

This initially happened at idle but also happened when the boat was up to cruising speed. I watched the analog and digital gauge at many speeds and it seems to bounce around and then settle down only to start bouncing around again without changing the speed. For example at 30 mph, the digital gauge would show, 34, 3, 25, 48, 48, 48, 34, 24, 5 with a lot of beeping when the pressure got low.

I am being told the following by CC:

"some times the lite will come on when you are slowing down. they do not have a answer as to why. there is noting wrong with the motor. it is a electrial in nature. hope this helps you."

Has anyone else experienced this? I am getting low voltage warnings (showing a little below 12) at idle. Could this be related?

I had the same problem with my 06, 206 with the 330 Excaliber.

The fix is to replace the oil switch.

It is located on the port (passanger)side of the engine block towards the back of the motor.

There is a T fitting into the engine block that has a sensor on both ends of the T. The oil switch is the one that looks similiar to a bell.

PCM has had some issues with bad oil switches!! I had my dealer send me my replacement oil switch and I installed it myself.

    Replace it / problem solved.

    Hope this helps,

    Steven

Thanks Steven. I am working with a dealer to get a replacement oil switch. I did not feel good about the answer I received from CC. The incessant beeping was driving me crazy.
