Cruising Prop for Nautique during Winter Months

I know there has been a lot of discussion within the Forums regarding props for more hole shot typically by lowering the prop pitch. However, I'm looking for some information and feedback on getting a prop for cruising during the winter months. My SV-211 Team Edition came with the Acme 644 which is great for wakeboarding but the RPMs run a little too high for general cruising. I've gathered some data points but wanted to know if anyone out there has any firsthand experience with the ACME 906 or other cruising (greater than 17.5 pitch) props. Cruising at 30mph while at 2800rpms would be ideal. Any thoughts?

    (diameter x Pitch)
    Current Prop: 644 -13.25x16VR 1-1/8" 4 Blade, Cup .105
    Estimated Speed (RPM/MPH): 2600rpm @ 24mph, 3000@25, 3950rpm @34mph, wide open throttle 5000@43mph,

    Option#1:
Acme Ski Boat - Acme Ski Boat - Nibral
    380 - 13.5x 17.5VR 1-1/8" 4 Blade, Cup .105
Estimated Speed (RPM/MPH): 3000@29.6 (est speed), 3450/34, Full Throttle 4800@47.

    Option#2:
Acme Ski Boat - Acme Ski Boat - Nibral
    906 - 13.5x19VR 1-1/8" 4 Blade, Cup.105
Estimated Speed: (RPM/MPH): 3000@??? (est speed), 3450/??, Full Throttle 4800@??,

    Thanks for the insight!

You may stand to gain some economy with that prop at moderate speeds- if you can turn it. 1.5" of pitch is a lot to add. No way you'll be able to turn it 4800 RPM either- Id guess it would knock you down to ~4200 at WOT.

You would have to save alot of gas cuising to off set the price of the prop. On my last boat I used the acme 1235 for wakeboarding and the stock one for winter cruising. Hope you find the right prop for you.

      2013 G23 450 (Great boat)
      2008 230 Team-ZR6- ACME 1235 ( back in a Nautique again)
2005 Malibu LSV 23 wakesetter (Real Dumb Mistake)
2000 SAN ( Loved that boat)

Its my understanding the original SV-211's came stock with the ACME 380 prop and they eventually went to the ACME 644, at least for the Team Editions (through 2006) for more hole shot.

Its not so much about saving gas to off set cost the prop, although if gas prices keep going up I may recoupe my cost pretty quick Yellow_Flash_Colorz: . My real objective is to get the RPMs on the engine down for cruising. Running at 3500RPM for extended periods (3+ hrs at a time) to achieve 30mph is excessive. My previous MasterCraft (v-drive) had an 18 pitch prop which put me at 30mph at 3000rpm (275hp) and would reach 48mph at WOT. With 330hp and similar weighted boat, cruising at 2800RPM while going 30mph should be achievable with a 19 pitch prop but I'm looking for firsthand experience before making the investment. Thanks.

That would be assuming that the MC and the CC are using the same gear ratios in the transmission and V-drive. Not sure if thats the case.

I suspect you'll be able to find a prop that will allow you to cruse 30mph @ 2800 RPM- but I dont think that prop will have a pitch of 19".
