    Adding a Tower

I want to add a N.D. tower to my 206, My question is if a tower is ordered on the boat from the factory is there a differance in the structure of the deck for supporting the tower?

    RE: Adding a Tower

I wounld'nt think so. The mounting hardware for the towers should include backing plates for the mount location. Does new dimension make a tower to fit the 04 - 206? Last time I check with them (last winter) they did not make one yet for my 05 - 216.

Mark, I live in TN and visited ND tower first hand. They look like the factory. Wayne is a good person. I was going to add one to my 2000 Sport.

Everything is included with the tower that you'll need for support if your boat needs support.

Ordered our 05' 206 with the factory tower, the tower feet have 4 bolts each thru the hull and a backing plate of the same shape as the tower foot it is below. If you are thinking about adding any wired accessories in the future be sure and have the front feet & backing plates drilled out and pre-wiring could also save some time as well particularly if you want the wiring to enter the rear bar of the tower as it would then need to cross back over to the front before going down. Having the anchor light on the tower is also a very nice feature. When we added tower speakers the front feet were already drilled out, made the install much easier.

              Mark,

My speakers are mounted on the back bar however I opted to run the speaker wire out the front bar, just too much work to get them to the back bar through the cross members. As we ran the wire down the tower it then came out and back in near the hinge point as you can see in the picture, then down through the front foot to the amps mounted behind the observer seat.

You will love your tower, we use ours for just about everything except slalom or trickin.
