Carpet on sidewall moving down

Has anyone had their carpet on the side walls (just below the gunwale) slip down a little? Mine appears to have slipped down about inch over time. I'm assuming I need to pull it off the walls and re-glue. Anyone have any ideas or thoughts? Thanks.

i see it all the time i use 3m carpet glue. had to do a couple spots on my own boat this weekend.just be careful of the fumes they are brutal!!

Did you take the whole section of carpet out? My carpet has a hump near the bottom, since the whole thing slid down a little bit.

Mine did the same thing. Does your have the isodamp behind it? I was going to pull min loose from the bottom and trim it and glue it back in.

I'm not sure. What exactly is the isodamp?

mine was just a few small spots. but if it is sagged down i would pull it back until i could get the hump out. the trick that works for me is spray both sides the carpet and the boat and let it get real tacky before you try to put it back up. let it sit for 3-5 min. before you try and stick it back up. good luck

it is sound deadening sheeting applied to the sides. You should he able to feel it behind the carpet because it does not go all the way to the bottom.
