IIRC...550-600 in gear, higher in neutral but no higher than 800rpm

ok because when i kick it into gear it just seems to be too high, like we should be able to idle towards the dock at a slower speed than my present idle speed will allow

When i need to go slow its a constant bump into gear then back to neutral, bump in gear.....

bumping it in and out of gear is the ultimate for control when approaching a dock. Remember most , if not all inboards only turn when they are in gear and Nautiques pull to the port side in reverse. Plan your docking accordingly. I am still adjusting after owning a Supreme for 15 yrs. No damage done yet.
