What are others getting for top speed on an SN 206 with 330 hp Excaliber? I am topping out at 43 mph and wonder if this is typical.

I would expect the 206 to be 1-2mph slower.
TRDon, I believe the older Sport hull is a bit faster than the new 196/206.1990 Ski Nautique

RE: Re: Top Speed 206
I've got an 06 206...just bought it late last summer and had it out only a few times. Most trips were not glassy. In the lake I use that is glassy, it is short so not a lot of time to hang out at top speed. Also, all top end trips had more than one person.
Any-who, best I could get was 45 at 4500 to 4600. I've got the 330 with the stock 4-blade prop (422). Previous user left a few dings on the prop but a polished bottom. I sent the prop in for re-work but have not run it since. I'd like to see what max rpm is with the re-worked prop before I order a new prop. I need a spare prop and will likely make the new prop one step towards more rpm and use it as my base prop. I think it will be the three blade 470. I have read the 470 will both increase hole shot and top speed. I will let you know in March.

MarkP, is that 46mph on GPS? Ive found that both speedos (gauge and PP) are off at WOT, despite being accurate at skiing speeds (30-36). PP reads ~49, but GPS speed says 45-46 on the 196 in question. RPM's are in the neighborhood of 4850-5000. I would expect the 206 to be a tick slower.1990 Ski Nautique
