I currently have an 89' BFN w/454. Distributor is a Mallory YL624MV breaker point setup. I want to upgrade to electronic and have checked out the Mallory and the Pertronix upgrade kits. I was wondering if any of you have used either brand and could give me a recommendation. Also, I am hearing you do and don't need the current ballast resistor. Any help would be greatly apprieciated.
