    Possible dumb question...(Hour gauge)

My hour gauge stopped working, and so I am looking to replace it before this season starts up (I might go ahead an put all new gauges while I'm at it- if I can find some that I really like the look of, any suggestions)...

But my real question is- when putting in the new hour gauge, is there anyway to change the preset amount from 00000 to what my hour meter is currently set at? I guess it's not a big deal, I could just write down the old number- but I'd prefer it if I could.

Also, any advice on changing the gauges, is it a complicated job, or something I can do pretty easily?

Hook it up to a benched power source, at 24 hours per day it doesn't take too long to get to the correct reading.

A 12v or 14.4 volt power tool battery works nice and convienent for that too.

Yep... For only 1200hours you have to wait 50 days ;-)) .. Sorry, but I think this is the easiest way. Just connect it to a 12V battery and wait until the hours are ticking by...
