    still need help on installing and tensioning the serpentine drive belt also. I assume the slack should be adjustable on the alternator bracket, but the brackent is blind in this installation. No way to see it...

      I just read a post on a ZR 6 that says you must put a 15 MM wrench on the shaft bolt of the tensioner and rotate clockwise (tighten) and it will break away in a spring loaded fashion. If this motor is similar, that would explain it. No visible excentric adjustment at all.. instead, a crafty spring loaded design mounted (I assume) under the three primary bolts to the tensioner. I'll try this tomorrow...

        Figured it out. Drain plugs at the top of the V drive. See this pdf manual:http://www.gekkosports.com/pdf/walter_vdrive.pdf
