    216 Ballast Upgrade

I spent the last few months upgrading the ballast on my 04 216 Air Nautique. I was fed up with the stock pumps and hokey valve system. I installed 3 Jabsco ballast puppies, two 400 pound sacs in the rear, and 370 pound sac in the belly. Check out the pics, and I'd be happy to provide some insight for anyone about to tackle a similar project.

Nice install! What did you cover with fiberglass and carpet? Is that the backside of the hardware for the grab handle?

Part of the main computer module (i assume that is what it is, black box with lots of wires) is located in the rear locker of my 216. When i removed the stock ballast tanks, that resulted in a lower floor. So the stock plastic cover that was over the module was too short. I fabricated a new removable cover out of fiberglass and covered it with carpet.

I'd love to hear a step by step if you have time to write it up. If not, can you describe the belly tank install. How is the wake now?

^^ dido what he said. I'd like to see pics of the bags in there too. How did two 400 lbs. bags fit where two 200 lbs. hard tanks sat?
