PLEASE STOP AND READ! The DIY section is for posting DIY articles only! These articles should be about some repair or project that YOU HAVE COMPLETED, and how others can also accomplish whatever you have done. The DIY section is NOT a place to start threads asking HOW to do something. Threads like that must be started in the Maint. / Tech. Discussion section. It is permissible to ask the original poster questions about his or her project in their thread here though.
While not really having anything to do with boats, still a good DIY project... I've been building my own furniture for about 1 year now and finally made use of some of my old boards and a couple pallets today. Other than 2 cuts per bench and a screw gun to mount the boards I used all hand tools. Even reused the old nails from the pallets for more character. Took about 30 minutes to build after taking apart the pallets.
Thanks Pax... Yeah I still have 5 boards left, but a few of them are about to become wall art! I have every board I ever owned but one since I started riding back in 1997.
Nice work! I gotta get around to make benches one of these days. Like you I have every board since I starting riding in 93. Here is some of the older stuff that was in the shed last time I cleaned it out.
